Biography

Anton Von Stefan

A graduate of Vancouver College, Canadian author, Anton Von Stefan, lives in Delta, B.C. and had his first book, The Curse of The Red Crystal, published in 2017. That book, published by Granville Island Publishing, contained eleven original ghost stories, one of which, #80 Harrow Street, was performed on stage at the Delta Literary Arts Society’s first night of Killer Verse. Excerpts from his ghostly tales have been read at Shakespeare & Company in downtown Vienna in both 2017 and 2019 where staff from the Canadian Embassy were present.

His fictional stories have been read in Oregon State and were a big part of the Murder Mystery events held at the Spring Water Lodge on Mayne Island, B.C. from 1981 to 1991. He also wrote articles for the Harold and Times, as west end Vancouver Newspaper, The North Shore News, and had a monthly column in the City Drive News, an East Side Vancouver newspaper.

His latest book, A Very Strange Christmas!, also published by Granville Island Publishing, was officially launched in Vienna December of 2022. It was written for Open House Theatre and was to have been set for a stage production before the March 2020 shutdown of theatres world-wide, a precaution due to the pandemic. At that official book launch, the author again read excerpts at Shakespeare & Company, Vienna. The book sold out in Austria.

Anton Von Stefan has had a booth almost each year at the Deck The Halls Christmas Market in North Delta and was sold at the larger Vancouver Christmas Market at the Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver. His books are available at the Licorice Parlour stores, Granville Island and on Commercial Drive and may be purchased from Granville Island Publishing.
