An Ode to a Lover As Yet Untouched

A poem by Anton Von Stefan

Written December 7th, 2020

An Ode to a Lover as yet Untouched

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Has there ever been a woman more beautiful?  I ponder as I take in the length of your body.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Have I ever seen a brighter sparkle in anyone’s eyes?  I ask as you look my way.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Has there been a girl like you to arrive at Wreck Beach?  I say as I recall the past.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Have I ever been happier with any woman?  I confess as you sit so near.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Have I ever seen one with so much talent?  I state as I see what you have already accomplished

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Have holla hoops a-five swished and danced? O’re your perfect curves at your command.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Have I come to know anyone who is so kind?  I have gleaned from that which I have seen

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Has my heart soared so high as we touch or sit so close?  I silently scream as I hunger for you.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Have two hearts so much in common, so different a background?  I pray it never ends.

Mary Jean, Mary Jean!  Where in the world–,
Have you always been in my heart? “Yes”, I reply as I look upon your sweet smiling face.

Mary Jean!  Oh my darling Mary Jean!  Where in the world –,
Would’st one ever find another?  No need to look; you are here!
